EARLOBE REPAIR

Dr. Chandler performs repair of complete and partial split earlobes and repair of other areas where a split has occurred due to stretching of ear piercings over time. The repair is done under local anesthesia with very little downtime. Depending on the size of the tear, two different techniques are employed, a complete excision and primary repair technique or excision of a partial split while keeping the inferior skin bridge intact. Dr. Chandler uses local anesthesia in a nerve block technique to completely numb the affected area prior to the procedure. After closure, steri strips are placed over the sutures and the sutures come out in two weeks.
